Meet the Team
Introducing the talented instructors at Reform Pilates. Each one is expertly trained and brings a unique approach to Classical Pilates. Whether private or in a group class, you will feel comfortable and confident under the leadership of these strong women.
Founder and Instructor
Mia took her first Pilates class in New York City and instantly became hooked. She has been teaching Pilates since 2003 when she initially taught out of her Annex apartment while pursuing her Ph.D. in education at UofT. She opened Reform Pilates in 2015. Mia is fully certified in Body Harmonics and is classically certified through Karen Frischman’s bridge certification.
Hailing from Brazil, Fernanda is a classically trained Pilates instructor. She is a globally trained instructor, trained by Lili Viola in Toronto, as well as Miguel Silva from Uno Pilates School in Portugal. Book a private or semi-private session with Fernanda and you’ll literally feel the rewards of the classical Pilates system.
Certified by Body Harmonics, Gina has been teaching for over ten years in both the clinic and studio setting. Her approach is a blend of classical and contemporary Pilates, and she is gifted at programming for specific injuries and needs. Gina is incredible with her clients, and really helps them to achieve their goals.
As a dancer, swimmer, and Yoga instructor, Shareen has a long history with teaching movement. Trained by Toronto’s Lili Viola, as well as by Jay Grimes and Sandy Shimoda of Vintage Pilates in Califonia, Shareen has taught Pilates all over Toronto, including the Granite Club. Shareen’s ‘pilates gaze’ is precise and unrelenting, and her classes are incredibly rewarding.
